Review into infection control procedures announced

The Minister for Aged Care, Ken Wyatt, has called on the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency to undertake a review of the infectious disease management practices of residential aged care facilities. The review will look into the vaccination procedures for staff at aged care facilities, following a recent increase in flu-related resident deaths.
