GP study reveals facility visit blockers

A study has revealed that only 40 per cent of early career GP’s visit residential aged care facilities, sighting lower remuneration and lack of education as the main barriers to entry. The study, Australian General Practitioner Attitudes to Residential Aged Care Facility Visiting, explained that placements within aged care facilities could help increase GP visits in the future.
