Funding cuts may lead to higher hospitalisation rates

Residential aged care providers have warned that the government’s Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) cuts may increase the burden on hospitals. Amana Living’s General Manager of Resident Care, Zenith Zeeman, has stated that hospitals will be forced to accommodate aged care residents whose care needs exceed staff resources as a result of funding cuts.
