Care workers to operate under national code of conduct

A national code of conduct is set to cover personal care workers from 2017, with enforceable standards ensuring workers are accountable for misconduct. The code will include a national register of workers, which providers will need to search during recruitment to ensure a worker does not have restrictions placed upon them.
