$329 million in unspent community care funds

An Aged Care Financing Authority (ACFA) report has revealed that community care providers are holding $329 million of unspent funds on behalf of consumers. The sum equates to an average of $4613 per consumer, which may have accumulated as a result of budgeting for future needs or the allocation of a higher package than required.
